Click on a month under one of the categories entitled "Mean Winds",
"Diurnal Tide", or "Semidiurnal Tide" to see height profiles
of mean winds and tidal amplitudes/phases determined from
Urbana MF Radar data. The data plotted with solid lines
represents an average over 10 years (1991-2000).
The points marked by diamond shaped symbols represent
the fitted parameters obtained for individual years.
Monthly mean days were formed for each month of each year and for a composite year consisting of all 10 years of data. A weighted least squares fit based on a model comprised of DC, 24, and 12 hour components was carried out at heights where at least 16 hours were represented in the mean day. For lower altitudes where less than 16 hours were available, the model included only DC and 12 hour components
